Verse: Ephesians 1:7- “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,…”
Nou gen libète nan Jezi lè nou remèt tout bagay ki nan tèt nou ba li. Yonn nan pi gwo fòm de esklavaj se yon mank de padon, swa nou menm menm oubyen lòt moun. Lè nou aprann kijan pou padone jan Jezi padone, lavi nou pral chanje! Ledmi an sèvi ak ofans pou kenbe nou nan esklavaj. Se tankou yon chèn ki mare nou. Poze tèt ou kesyon sa yo: Eske mwen gen yon mank de padon nan kè mwen? Yon ofans ki mele ak yon mank de padon se tankou yon flèch ki tranpel nan pwazon. Senyè, mwen pat renmen e mwen te gen resantiman nan kèm kout sèten moun e mwen gen yon mank de padon nan kè mwen. Padone mwen pou peche de ofans mwen an. Mwen mande w, Senyè, pou bay mwen pouvwa a pou relache e padone moun ki fèm mal. Mwen padone yo kounye a e mwen mande w pou padone mwen osi. Bay mwen fòs poum priye pou yo. Mèsi pou kase chèn sa yo nan lavi mwen. Nan nom Jezi mwen priye. Amèn.
“Live in a way where you forgive others as God has forgiven you. Give God everything.”
We have freedom in Christ when we surrender everything we have to God. One of the biggest forms of bondage is a lack of forgiveness. Whether it be a lack to forgive others or to be forgiven by others, you can not be at peace. When we learn how to forgive the way Jesus forgives, our life will be changed! The enemy works hard to keep us in bondage. It’s like a chain which binds us. When we live in a way where we can forgive an offense quickly, then we will have a pure heart. With a pure heart, we will rest in the one who gives us life.
We understand the concept of forgiveness, but have a problem with it because we just don’t feel that it is fair. We don’t feel like we can do it because it’s difficult to forgive someone who we don’t feel deserves it. You need to ask yourself if you have a lack of forgiveness in your heart and whether that unforgiveness is keeping you from having the relationship with God that you are meant to have with him. Live in a way where you forgive others as God has forgiven you. Give God everything.
Prayer of forgiveness:
Heavenly Father: I didn’t love well and I have resentment in my heart towards certain people. I am having a hard time forgiving them. I ask you, Lord, to give me strength to forgive those who do me harm. I forgive them now and I ask you to forgive my sins toward you, as well. Give me strength to pray for them. Please bless them and I ask for you to do good things for them. Thank you for breaking the chains in my life. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
