A fundraising dinner bringing Haiti to Pella, Iowa.

Saturday, Sept 7

About the Event

Since 2009, Many Hands for Haiti has sent hundreds of volunteers to Pignon, Haiti, to serve and experience the Haitian culture. This year, was much different. In February 2019, the U.S. Embassy issued a much more restrictive travel advisory against Haiti, resulting in us cancelling many of the scheduled short-term trips. With these trips not happening, many of the projects the short-term mission teams support is in jeopardy of not happening, resulting in more hardship for the Haitian people. As we haven’t been able to send people to Haiti as we had intended, we want to bring Pignon to Pella.

At the Pignon in Pella fundraiser, you will enjoy Haitian inspired appetizers in the Molengracht, as you engage with interactive displays to help understand the impact of our programs. Then, we will move to the Pella Opera House for dinner provided by B Fabulous BBQ and a short program from Tim Brand, Many Hands Executive Leader.

All money raised from the evening will be used to meet the need in programming created by the shortfall from short-term mission teams.
