The feeding program started by Many Hands for Haiti (MH4H)In January of 2010, was intended to help patients at our partner hospital Hospital Benefiasse de Pignon in their healing process by relieving the burden of providing food for themselves during their hospitalization. In many cases, this either was not possible or became a burden for the family helping take care of the patient.
In just less than two years, the program’s intentions have been realized with the distribution of roughly 40,000 meals. We feel very strongly that this program needs to continue, as we can fulfill Jesus’ words from Matthew 25:35 “For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink.” Helping feed those that are trying to heal from sickness is a way for Many Hands for Haiti to fulfill its mission “To make God Real for the people of Haiti”.
Much of this funding was originally donated from earthquake relief, as the hospital saw an influx of patients who needed help. Now, we are nearly depleted, putting this ministry in danger.
To meet this need, we are asking if you can step forward and donate to cover the program for a day, a week, a month or even a year! The expense for the program is roughly $50 a day. Please prayerfully consider this opportunity to provide food for those in the hospital trying to heal. Consider giving on your birthday, an anniversary or a special day for you or a family member. Hit the “Donate Now” button and your gift will meet a practical need in a meaningful way. Thank you!
