“We have the privilege and joy of serving and experiencing Haiti with three generations.” As three generations of women experience Haiti side-by-side, they create memories that last a lifetime.

Woke up at 5:00am to go on a hike to the top of Mount Pignon. There were 9 people from our group that went, and 3 Haitian helpers. It was a tough climb and slippery on the way down because of loose rocks. It was worth it to be able to see the view of Pignon and the mountains at the top. We had to dodge the clouds from covering our pictures. 🙂

We went to an orphanage in the afternoon. The darling Haitian children instantly swarmed us (partly because we had small toys for them) and sat on laps. With the Haitian children, the team played soccer, ball, jump rope, chalk, painted fingernails and gave them a snack and drink. The children sang songs to us and then we sang a song back to them. It was a special afternoon of joy and love to the children and back to us.

An agriculture project is being done with a group of ladies helping. We had a good time shucking corn and shelling it to test. We had a lot of laughs, good conversation and singing. This is an example of how many hands make light work.
