We are accountable
MH4H currently holds the Platinum Seal of Transparency with GuideStar. We have also passed the Better Business Bureau (BBB) accreditation for charities, making us only one of 19 charities in the state of Iowa with this level of accreditation. You can trust we will steward your gift wisely and use it for the intended purpose.
We are efficient
Since our inception in 2008, MH4H has made every effort to get as much money on the ground in Haiti as possible. We have sought designated funds to cover most administrative costs, allowing funds from donors to go directly to helping Haitians. We are proud to say that our administrative cost percentage of only 7.2 percent. This percentage is our overall administrative cost between both our Haitian and U.S. Operations, including our thrift stores. That means that for every dollar donated to MH4H, 92.8 cents goes towards helping transform lives in a broken world.
We are effective
We come from a business background that emphasizes best practices in all aspects. We strive to work with other non-profit organizations for the greater good. Whether it’s providing additional funding, strengthening programs that are already in place or creating and implementing strategic plans, we work together to tackle the challenges of the day.
We are relational
We believe in building lasting relationships that make an impact. We want this to be personal. We want for each donor to get to know our staff and partners on the ground. We want churches and organizations in the U.S. to meet our leaders. By going narrow and deep, we can help create life changes, both for those in Haiti and donors around the world.
