Today was our first day teaching at the school! We went over at about 8:30 to watch part of the soccer game that was tied from yesterday. We started our day by teaching the kids songs that we know, and then they taught and sang some songs for us in Creole. After that, we had the kids in two groups doing crafts and English. Our craft for today was paper plate fish that they got to color and then hang on the walls around the room. Colt did our English lesson today and taught different animals and other vocab. Kyle and Dave taught some of the kids kickball but they were a little confused about which bases they were supposed to run to! We helped feed everybody lunch and then got to hang out with the kids for a while before we went back to the land for lunch. We had Haitian pasta and then got to have a little rest before we went back to school. We helped plant some gardens on the school grounds and then got our first Creole lesson. We’re back at the Mission House, just had dinner and probably will go up on the roof soon to look at the stars. Bonswa!
