TIM BRAND
Many Hands CEO & Founder

Tim is the Founder and CEO of Many Hands, an international non-profit built on a powerful, self-sustaining model of transformation. He architected the organization’s unique “virtuous cycle,” where purpose-driven thrift markets in Iowa fund long-term partnerships in forgotten communities abroad. In turn, immersive trips to these communities create transformed leaders who return to fuel the local mission, making the entire model stronger with each cycle.

Inspired by a life-changing trip to Haiti in 1998, Tim has guided Many Hands from a small association of churches to a global organization that has impacted tens of thousands of lives. His 2024 book on legacy, Standing on the Shoulders, became an Amazon #1 bestseller, with all proceeds benefiting mothers and children in Haiti.

A former business executive and a CITYVIEW Business Journal recipient of “Business People Who Made a Difference,” Tim dedicates his life to helping people unleash their God-given talents to be love in action. He and his wife, Catie, live in Pella with their two children.

CELEKAH MILLS

After more than 13 years in the public school system in the Bahamas, Celekah joined Many Hands to help make a difference in Abaco. Celekah focuses most of her time running the ARK program at Central Abaco Primary School (CAPS). The Academic Recovery for Kids program focuses on bringing those children who have fallen 2-3 grade levels below their peers in reading and math up to where they should be. It’s a much needed program that is very unique in its approach. In addition, with the help of Many Hands, a library has been created at CAPS, allowing students to have access to both non-fiction and fiction books that are age – and ability – appropriate. Celekah has also been instrumental in the development and implementation of a monthly children’s Reading Picnic that engages children in the community to find their love of reading through fun activities.

TIM BRAND
Many Hands CEO & Founder

As Founder and CEO of Many Hands, a world-class international non-profit creating holistic community development, established in 2008,  Tim provides vision and leadership for U.S. and International operations, impacting 25,000 people in three countries and reaching over 200,000 people per year in U.S.-based business-as-mission retail stores. In 2024, he also became an Amazon #1 bestseller with his book, Standing on the Shoulders: A Legacy Story of a Father, a Son, and Life-Greatest Gifts, with all proceeds benefiting pregnant mothers and children in Many Hands’ First 1,000 Days Program.

In 1998, Tim joined a church group mission trip to help build a new school in Pignon, Haiti, changing his perspective on God’s global heart. Two years later, Tim made a covenant with God to be involved in Haiti in some way for the rest of his life.

During his time in the for-profit sector, he established an association of Iowa churches working in Haiti, striving to share best practices and financial accountability. It became clear this association needed to become an official non-profit, turning into Many Hands. Tim served as President of the Board from 2008-2011. Prior to founding Many Hands and going full-time in 2011, Tim spent 10 years in the for-profit business sector, with experience in global strategies, global account management, IT sales and management, and financial planning.

Tim is an Iowa native and graduated from Central College with a Computer Information Systems degree and the University of Phoenix with a Masters in Business Management. Selected by CITYVIEW Business Journal as one of 20 business leaders making a difference in 2020, he dedicates his life to helping people release their God-given talent to be love in action. He writes a bi-monthly 3…2…1 Impact newsletter, conducts a monthly People for Impact Connection Call, leads hundreds of people on Impact Trips, and steps in as teaching pastor at multiple churches across the Midwest. Tim lives in Pella, Iowa, with his wife, Catie, and their two children.
