For many families in Haiti, their reality is a daily battle for basic health. Limited access to doctors, medicine, and medical equipment means that easily treatable illnesses can quickly turn into something life-threatening. This is especially true for children, pregnant women, and the elderly, who are most vulnerable to disease and medical emergencies.

Our Beliefs in Action

At Many Hands, we believe all families should have access to medical care. We also believe every mother should survive birth and every child should see their fifth birthday. That’s why we’ve made health programs a top priority in Haiti. We provide medical assistance to hundreds of families through our many medical assistance initiatives and the Many Hands First 1,000 Days program.

Our trained nurses intentionally walk alongside those in desperate need. We work to identify the cause of their medical issues, find the best solutions to treat them, and then ensure patients are educated on preventative measures to reduce the risks of further problems.

One of the most direct and impactful ways we step in is by providing essential medications. This month, we invite you to join our “Medicine for a Month” initiative. We invite you to help us provide children with the gift of health. By supporting this specific initiative, you help us cover the cost of antibiotics, fever reducers, and other needed medication for the children in our program. Your support provides the crucial medical care children need to thrive and overcome preventable illnesses.
