Iowa-based international nonprofit, Many Hands, is expanding its team with the addition of Tyler Kamerman as Chief Development Officer (CDO). Kamerman offers a person-centered approach to this position with over twenty years of experience in client-facing roles.
As CDO, Kamerman will plan and implement development and fundraising strategies to provide for the short- and long-term needs of the organization. Kamerman’s experience in the construction and financial services industries has seasoned his approach to this role.
“The relationship building that I have been doing throughout my career has prepared me for this role. I have had the unique opportunity to work with people from many different walks of life in different areas of the country through my professional career,” says Kamerman. “In addition, I have served on a number of different boards and a wide variety of organizations giving me invaluable experience in fundraising and donor strategy. Finally, my service and leadership within the community and church have provided for me, what I believe to be, the best model of leadership out there.”
Tyler is relationship-driven and truly serves people through his work.
The CDO will work alongside the non-profit’s partners, donors, and volunteers. Such groups and individuals are vital to Many Hands, fueling its capacity to fulfill its goal to generously grow impact locally and globally. Kamerman will focus on strengthening these relationships while expanding the current base to accommodate the mission’s expected growth.
“I’m excited about the role because I feel like my entire career has been leading me to this point. I am going to have the opportunity to work with so many different people and organizations because the variety of ways to get involved and support Many Hands is so vast. There’s not a day that I’m going to be sitting still!” states Kamerman.
“I’ve known Tyler for a number of years and I’m excited for his path and our path to converge,” says Tim Brand, CEO of Many Hands. “Tyler is relationship-driven and truly serves people through his work. His skill set matches perfectly with our long-term vision and he will do great things at the helm of our resource development.”
Kamerman shares how this opportunity with Many Hands differs from prior experiences and its personal significance.
“For me, it’s about leaving a legacy that would not have been possible in my previous career. I have the opportunity to be a part of building God’s Kingdom here on earth and I can hardly contain my excitement about that. The work Many Hands does creates new jobs, puts food on tables, and provides education for children. Knowing that every conversation I have, event I attend, and talk that I give brings potential impact gives me a level of motivation that I’ve never felt before.”
